Women from the poorest provinces in Southern Thailand banded together to create product and industry that could positively affect their lives. Tourists can stop by the shop that displays the food products, wickerwork, handicraft, and agriculture produced by these women.
Responsibility
WANITA Social Enterprise arose from the belief that communicates with others, created a way of life, and culture through the product made by women's group from the Deep South. Create interest in both social and financial dimensions to improve the quality of life of the people in the Deep South of Thailand
Business Case
The revenue from product sales will be returned directly to the women group, their children and community members through the management of WANITA Community Enterprise where it is a group formed by the women who are part of thousands of people affected by the ongoing conflict in the Deep South of Thailand. The incomes not only help to create better a sense of pride and strengthens the community
