The Socoon has a variety of art forms including key chains, boxes, bags and lamps made from the cocoon which originally comes from Saraburi, Thailand. The Socoon products are sold at fair and the Exotic Thai at the Siam Paragon where is the shopping mall in the city centre of Bangkok. The new coming store will be located at Ecotopia at Siam discovery.

The Socoon is a social enterprise that supports local people in the community to get more income from selling cocoon products. The target is not only selling but also focuses on people development in society. The Socoon has trained about cocoon for youth to give useful knowledge for them to use or inherit in the future.

Business Case

The business started by people in the community accepts the changing and trend. There is a gap between the generations. Thus, they need to work closely together to achieve the objective. From 10 baht products, they develop them to 2,900 baht or 12,000 baht by adding the idea with a functional e.g. big lamp. In facts, they mainly focus on the resources that they have and make them valuable as a unique product which they aim to support the local community by creating job opportunity and increasing income.
