Travel Experience
Located at the heart of Battambang town, the Lonely Tree Cafe is a cosy, stylish café–restaurant. Brick walls, tall ceilings, bamboo and elegant tables embrace the main restaurant on the top floor. Offering a variety of Spanish, Mediterranean, Western and Khmer dishes, exquisite fruit juices, shakes, and deserts. Also, have a nice upstairs balcony where you can look over the streets of Battambang while enjoying your meal.
Responsibility
The Projects supported cover a wide range of humanitarian aid including education, support for the people with disabilities, healthcare and preservation of Cambodian cultural heritage. At the Lonely Tree Café, they give employment to underprivileged people and those with disabilities. The staff consist of vulnerable youth and most of the products sold in the Lonely Tree store are crafted by people with disabilities.
Business Case
The Lonely Tree Café is a social enterprise set up by the NGO S.A.U.C.E with the goal to obtain profits to help finance the activities of the Apostolic Prefecture of Battambang. By visiting the restaurant you are helping to fund many of their projects and helping the people in the local community.
