Travel Experience

Journeys of change is a team of students from the Liger Leadership Academy (LLA) who started a bike tour experience called Journeys of Change. This bike experience is one of the many examples of our project-based learning curriculum that focuses on the development and is designed to provide work skills and opportunities for our future. The entire route is 22km, crossing the Mekong River on two local ferries, tasting local snacks, exploring local Cambodian culture, and eating lunch at the school campus before being transported back to Phnom Penh. These ambitious, courageous Liger guides will share their knowledge of past, present and future changes of Cambodia. Your guides look forward to sharing their customs, culture, and everyday life with you.

Responsibility

The mission is to share insights into the lives of everyday Cambodians by creating a tour for visitors and locals of the Phnom Penh area. The tour will focus on explaining the changes that have occurred and are occurring in this country while simultaneously supporting local businesses, environment, training in responsible tourism, providing cross-cultural exchanges, and creating job opportunities for Liger students to help further and fund our education after high school.

Business Case

Journeys of change tours offer unique experiences to visitors by explaining the changes that have occurred and are occurring in this country. There are two prices range which is $40 for visitors and for foreigners who live in Cambodia and $20 Cambodians. All proceeds are donated to the Liger Charitable Foundation.
