Travel Experience

The areas of Lao that Green Discovery operate in are outstandingly beautiful and often not seen by tourists. However, when you travel with Green Discovery you will be lucky enough to travel in these areas at one with nature and the local population all in an environmentally way. As well as trekking and other physical tours there are also activities that for those wishing not to exert lots of energy.

Green Discovery always considers pros and cons of the business it conducts. All management aspects of the company are run according to the Corporate Social Responsibility guidance seen in ISO26000. When operating in areas of outstanding natural beauty or importance each tour is designed to minimalize the impact it has on the area.

Business Case

Green Discovery does itself it also has close ties to NGOs in the region such as, ElefantAsia, IUCN, WCS, Illegal Trade in Wildlife Action Group and many more. Our Tourism activities in rural and protected areas are designed to avoid or at least minimise negative impacts. They are directed towards the conservation of natural and cultural resources, rural socio-economic development and the visitor's understanding of the places they are visiting. On the ground and facing typical realities in a developing country, this may not be possible in a textbook style all the time.
