Travel Experience

They have created comfortable, friendly spaces where everyone is welcome and encouraged to meet, create, eat, and relax. They have free Wifi, food, coffee and other refreshing beverages served all day. Their menu is a mix of modern casual international dishes and Cambodian comfort food made with fresh local produce. The café serves all of the standard espresso-based coffee drinks with milk or soymilk, plus a diverse menu of Khmer and International breakfast and lunch staples and specials.

Responsibility

They are building more than a cafe, more than a business. They are building a family, an organization and a team that supports, trains and empowers both within the walls of their cafes and restaurants, but also in the lives of their staff and farmer-suppliers. They support employees’ educations and encourage them to continue learning, both at work and outside. They provide free internal training in a range of personal development, business, finance, and management topics, and some advanced catering, customer service and barista skills.

Business Case

They pay the price that the supplier ask because they feel the farmers have a right to ask for a fair price, not dictated by artificial market rates based on speculative global supply and demand. This keeps supply reliable and costs stable from year to year and ensures that the farmers can support themselves and their families, and continue to invest in their farms and to protect the environment.
