Charity Tours Cambodia is a unique, socially conscious tour operator that offers a range of tours, homestays and volunteer opportunities in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The most popular tours run daily to Angkor Wat, while others offer tourists the opportunity to visit local communities and to stay with a Khmer family.

Responsibility

In cooperation with local villagers, set up village-homestays in three different districts in Siem Reap province around of the World Heritage-listed Angkor Wat to empower them how to set up homestay so that they can generate income. Encourage tourists and local to be aware of an attraction site as well as contribute to protecting the environment and reducing climate change, global warming and other natural disasters. Set up and offered free English class to rural children in the special area. Also, improve the nutrition of young infants and mothers by providing food in various areas of Siem Reap, around the world heritage-listed Angkor Wat. They designed a tour “Angkor Children Dental Care” to contribute toothpaste and toothbrush to nurture children about oral dental care.

Business Case

30% of the profits from each tour flows directly into their charity programs, which include education programs, environmental awareness and community development in rural Cambodia. Among the programs is a tree-planting initiative aimed at combating deforestation in Cambodia. Additional programs include child nutrition and dental care, and community development through the homestays program.
