Better moon guesthouse and cafe is the place that concerns about minimizing the impact on the environment. It’s one the first cafe that has a concept of non-single plastic movement in Bangkok. The cafe decorates in cosy style and also have green space that has been planted by owners. They serve homemade food that uses an organic product from local people and you can buy some organic from this cafe as well.

Responsibility

The place was re-decorated from the old building because the owner wants to reduce the bad pollution from construction. Second, some part of the furniture is reused one from their family. Third, they have policies about non-single plastic used, they are not allowed to bring plastic inside and they encourage their guest to use reuse container such as a bottle of water, food container that can be made of plastic but makes sure that it’s not a single-use container. All guest can use their own containers to refill detergents or food, also be able to borrow their cutlery to bring food from outside to reduce single-use plastic. The owner aims to raise awareness of people to think about a zero-waste lifestyle by visiting this place.

Business Case

Since plastic waste has been a serious problem in Thailand, so owner want to raise awareness of other people to use less plastic and concern more about the environment so that’s why they are one of Thailand's first bulk store started the project here to help people live low-waste lifestyle by create a cafe and guesthouse that all the guest can experience a zero-waste lifestyle, for example, in the cafe there is no single used plastic, they encourage their guest to use their own container to refill foods and drinks from their cafe, and they also sell the product that can be used in daily life and absolutely, it’s not a single used plastic product.
