Bamboo Cottages and restaurant is owned by Vietnamese-American family who has own the land where is the business is located The restaurant is located about 45km from the airport and about 35km from the main town of Duong Dong. All those cottages have been inspired by the combination of natural beauty and authentic Vietnamese. The business vision is to invest in and be in harmony with everything that they value together with the travelers experience of Viet Nam, staffs, the environment and the community.

Responsibility

To minimize the use of natural resources there are no TVs, air conditioners, or minifridges in the room and the business decide to apply intelligent environment practices 100% solar-powered and here is the first solar power hotel in Vietnam. The business actively support eco-tourism in the island area. Importantly, the staff who work for this business in a part of Bamboo cottages and restaurant, they are family working as a good team. In the restaurant serves authentic home cook Vietnamese dish made with locally organic grown ingredient, they use only freshest ingredients and local product, using bamboo straws source on the island. Hotel also effort to reduce consumption of plastic product by issue guests to recycled glass bottles to get refill.

Business Case

The main income of Bamboo cottages and restaurant are from their nature-inspired room which is bright and spacious and are literally steps away from the beach. Apart of that is restaurant selling traditional Vietnamese dish with a local source of ingredients and also spa and wellness that service you Swedish or Traditional Vietnamese massage free yoga class and part of earnings generated from the cottages and restaurant will help us expand and evolve our family’s long-running scholarship program for needy children in Phu Quoc and Saigon. The Phung Su Foundation ("Together We Serve") is based in Houston, Texas and provides educational scholarships to disadvantaged youth in Vietnam who would otherwise have to work.
