Siem Reap to host international hospitality and F&B exhibition in October

In conjunction with the booming tourism and food and beverages (F&B) industry in Siem Reap, the gateway to the Angkor is set to host the international exhibition, ANGKORFOOD + HOTEL 2019, from 10-12 October 2019 at the Sokha Resort and Convention Center.

The mega-scale event, hosted by the Cambodia Tourism Federation and the Cambodia Chef Association, is expected to draw over 4,000 trade visitors and buyers representing hotels, restaurants, caterers, cafes, pubs, clubs, supermarkets and food retailers and distributors.

One of the main highlights will be the Cambodia Culinary Competition which will see the winners representing the Kingdom in other prestigious competitions on a global platform.

Sanctioned by the World Association of Chefs Societies, it will provide talented Cambodian chefs with the opportunity to compete at the highest level.

It will also see participants from other countries such as China, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and Malaysia.

The exhibition will be an excellent opportunity for the hospitality and F&B industry in Siem Reap and the surrounding provinces including Battambang and Poipet to source for new supplies and get updates on the latest foodservice trends.

“In addition, it will be an opportunity to meet and network with fellow industry members,” Project Manager of AMB Tarsus Events Group Rineat Khoen said in a statement yesterday.

Concurrently, ANGKORCAFE 2019 will also be taking place to showcase the latest coffee machines and supplies to cater to the growing coffee market as Cambodians embrace the taste of quality coffee. It will also feature events including Cambodia Barista Competitions, latte art demonstration and classes.
