All Day

Originally called Resistance Day and celebrated nationwide every 27 March in Myanmar, Armed Forces Day commemorates the beginning of the Burmese National Army’s resistance against the Japanese occupation in 1945.

Outside the many celebrations throughout the country, a display of the military forces of the country is one of the highlights of this day in the capital Nay Pyi Daw.

Many Burmese will make use of this day spending time with family and friends.
