Dynamic and unprecedented changes are taking place across the globe. We are at the cusp of the Fourth Industrial Revolution — a revolution that will transform the way we work, live and connect with one another. It is a revolution that puts innovation and the fusion of new technologies at the forefront.
There is immense challenge on the countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) to be agile and ready more than ever to compete. The region’s growth rate in the past several years has been acceptable, but we need a turnaround of the current momentum and prepare for a takeoff towards a more robust growth.
How do we make this happen? This is a question that the Mekong Forum 2018 seeks to answer.
This year’s Mekong will explore how innovation and synergistic cooperation can be harnessed to bring a major boost to competitiveness and enhance connectivity of peoples and communities, and initiate the much-needed economic turnaround of the region and drive its forward development.
Join GMS leaders, development practitioners and experts, private and civil society actors and other key stakeholders from the region this August in Khon Kaen, one of Northeast Thailand’s bustling cities, for the Mekong Forum 2018.
