The overall objective of this event is to strengthen Cambodia’s tourism sector by bringing together public and private actors as well development partners to discuss the important issues relevant to tourism investment. The focus of the forum will be to identify specific strategies and actions that support positive tourism investment and these will be published as a set of recommendations for further action.
The First Cambodia Tourism Investment Forum Description:
“Tourism Investment Opportunities in Cambodia”
For the tourism sector to reach its full potential in Cambodia, access, infrastructure and services must be provided to support the industry. The investment environment must be attractive for investors and individual investments must also match the social, economic and environmental objectives of the country and the region. A healthy investment environment can support all of these interests especially if industry stakeholders and communities have the opportunity to share and create such an environment.
The Forum in Siem Reap is designed to bring together public and private participants to share information, network and strengthening collaboration for the betterment of the tourism industry in Cambodia.
The forum will bring together representatives from the private and public sectors as well as development partners to share information and present issues for discussion. Key speakers will give informative presentations on the potential opportunities and current challenges associated with tourism investment in the Cambodia. These presentations will be followed by a moderated forum where participants and stakeholders can share and discuss their knowledge and experiences. The acquired knowledge, which will contribute to the Ministry’s ongoing facilitation, promotion and support for sustainable tourism investment in Cambodia. The findings of the forum will be published as a set of recommendations for further action.
