From Vietnam to Cambodia – ESSENCE OF MEKONG DELTA AND THE ANGKOR

The 10-day-trip starts in the modern and fast growing city of Ho Chi Minh where you have the chance to visit sights like the War Remnants or History Museum or you can just stroll around the city.
On the second day you begin to explore the beautiful Mekong Delta, its people and their lives on the waterways by boat. For lunch you will enjoy local food with one of the local families after which you continue your journey to Cho Lach in Ben Tre province which is famous for its coconut palms. Here you will also stay at the homestay “Jardin Du Mekong“ for the night where you will have dinner with the host family after a bike ride around the village.

On the way you will have the opportunity to explore the local area and life of local people by bike or foot. The Mekong cruise will also give you the wonderful opportunity to watch an amazing sunset and sunrise on the river. In Can Tho you will explore the Cai Rang market one of the most bustling floating markets in the Mekong Delta before you continue your journey to Chau Doc. Here you can enjoy a panoramic view of Chau Doc and neighboring Cambodia from the Sam Mountain, visit temples and a local market.

Your final destination will be Siem Reap which you will reach by plane. During three days in Siem Reap you will explore the fascinating Angkorian temples, including the world famous Angkor Wat. You shouldn’t miss the chance to watch the incredible sunrise at the temple of Ta Phrom. Other temples you will be visiting will be Banteay Srey temple, Banteay Samre temple, Angkor Thom including the enigmatic Bayon temple, the Terrace of Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King as well as lesser visited areas like Beng Meala and Koh Ker Temple.
