Twenty-one guest speakers from the public and private sectors will deliver keynote speeches and participate in three-panel discussions. While addressing the theme “Rethinking for Resilience and Digitalization”, regional tourism leaders and experts will discuss and rethink tourism development in the post-pandemic era, focusing on tourism workforce advancement, MSME support, female empowerment, smart tourism via digital transformation, and sustainable food systems to maximize the benefits of tourism for people and our planet.

The city of Sihanoukville, the capital of Preah Sihanouk province, is honored to host MTF 2023. The coastal city is well-known for its premier hotels and amazing hospitality, making it an attractive destination for domestic and international travelers. Capitalizing on its favorable geographical location and past experience hosting major conferences, the city aims to emerge as a MICE hot spot to accommodate major international trade forums and draw investment in upscale hotel segments as well as convention centers. By attending MTF 2023, delegates will have the opportunity to join a meaningful excursion to explore Koh Rong Island and its spectacular sea life while participating in an exciting community-based ecotourism program.

MTF 2023 will take place at the Independence Hotel, set amid lush greenery along the deep blue waters of Sihanoukville. The Hibiscus Ballroom, the largest among the hotel’s three meeting rooms, has been selected as the main venue. This conference room features modern amenities and can accommodate up to 650 people. Furthermore, the hotel commits to providing high-quality Khmer hospitality while adhering to sustainability principles and environmental stewardship. It ensures high-quality and environmentally friendly meeting experiences for delegates.

The event also features a Sustainable Tourism Exhibition featuring 18 exhibitors from both the public and private sectors. They represent national tourism organizations of GMS member countries, tourism businesses with responsible operations, social enterprises, and local community-based tourism products.
