Journalists of the Women of China travelled to southwest China’s Yunnan Province to report on the area’s grassroots activities.

The group’s first destination was a collection of well-preserved ancient settlements, including Wengding Village, in a remote part of Lincang City, more than 100 kilometers from the nearest city.

Major local topics for concern include women’s employment issues, children’s living conditions, the lifestyle of the Wa people, and the cultural relationship they have with neighboring Myanmar.
