Krabi gets tourism boost with new direct flights from Fujian

Krabi will benefit from new direct flights between Fujian province and Krabi that will will begin October 2, 2015. 

Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport in Fujian province will host Thailand’s New Gen Airways flight E3861/32 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 

According to local news reports, the outbound flight will depart Krabi at 7 a.m. local time and arrive in Quanzhou at 12.05 a.m., while the inbound flight will depart Quanzhou at 1.05 p.m. and land in Krabi at 4.25 p.m.

Krabi has recently gained popularity as a holiday and travel destination for Chinese tourists.

Budget carrier New Gen Airways was started in 2013 by New Generation Travel & Trade Group, a tour agency in China and Thailand. It now serves destinations between Thailand and China, including Nanning, Guilin, Jinjiang, Guiyang, and Changsha.

Recently, New Gen Airways launched new routes to Wenzhou, Hefei, Nanchang, and Kunming. It also plans to start services to Hanoi, Tokyo, Seoul, Abu Dhabi and Harbin.
