Cambodia Launches Clean City Contest

Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism has announced a clean city contest, reports the Khmer Times. The public are invited to rate city services in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang, Sihanoukville, Kep, Kampot and Kampong Cham.

Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the National Committee for Clean City Assessment, said the contest aims to prepare Cambodia to enter the 1st ASEAN Clean Tourist City Contest.

“Through the launch of the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Standard, ASEAN-member countries have determined to continue developing all tourist cities into clean, green, attractive and competitive cities with sustainable development,” said Mr. Khon.
